There is a lot to know about buying Koi fish for your pond, home, or even for breeding. Two of the questions you have to ask yourself before you can start looking at Koi fish is what are you looking for, and how much are you willing to pay?
Koi feeding time around my place can be a blur of color. I recently captured this shot of my fish during feeding time through social media sharing service, Instagram. Streaks of orange, yellow and white are all you can see when I feed my koi.
If you're looking for a purebred koi fish, you'll need to contact a specialty koi fish breeder. Another way to think about is this: if you walk into a koi fish store and see all the koi in a tank together like in the video below, they're probably not a purebred koi variety.
